Regional Council for Attracting Investments and Improving Investment

By the order of the Akim of the West Kazakhstan Region No. 22-ө dated January 15, 2016, a regional council for attracting investments and improving the investment climate was created (hereinafter referred to as the Regional Council).

The Regional Council works on improving the investment climate in the region, attracting investments, and developing recommendations on issues related to the investment activities of local executive bodies, sectoral business associations, and large foreign companies.

In 2019, 5 meetings of the Regional Council were held, resulting in the consideration and support of 10 investment projects totaling 40.9 billion tenge, creating 587 jobs. These projects are implemented in such sectors as agriculture, tourism, and the construction industry.

In the first half of 2020, 4 meetings of the Investors Council (regional council for attracting investments, improving the investment climate, and promoting exports) were held, where 14 projects totaling 51.2 billion tenge were considered and supported, creating more than 1300 permanent jobs.
